Animal Crackers Inc,
GOLD–Creative Curriculum
Animal Crackers, Inc. uses a hands-on active learning approach to support a child centered curriculum called Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum uses theory and research to aid teachers in their implementation of developmentally appropriate programming for children. Creative Curriculum also considers how children develop and learn, how the learning environment is structured, what children should be learning at the early levels, the role of the teachers and the role of the families in the program.
This teaching approach provides children with an environment which fosters growth in all areas of their development. Children are presented with a tremendous variety of opportunities to learn and explore their environment. Activities are carefully planned to provide stimulation and guidance in all five domains of child development.
This curriculum framework addresses the need for children to learn, play and interact socially with others. Lesson plans at the Preschool level are developed to give children a variety of opportunities to experience:
- Interpersonal relationships
- Sensory exploration of the natural and physical surroundings
- Intellectual stimulation
- Large and small motor development
- Language, literacy, and math skills
Special emphasis is placed on integrating diversity into everyday activities while supporting family structures of all types.

Professional Philosophy, My Beliefs are every child deserves equitable access to high-quality child care and education, regardless of socioeconomic background. Children thrive in programs that focus on early care, education, and strong family relationships. A safe, caring, and child-centered environment allows all children to learn and grow through meaningful, purposeful play. I provide opportunities for children to: Explore, experiment, and question through hands-on learning. Develop as whole individuals — emotionally, cognitively, physically, and socially. Each child is valued as an individual, with unique needs and learning styles. Families as Partners Families are children’s first teachers and greatest advocates. Parents are valued as essential partners in their child’s growth and success. Collaboration with families ensures ongoing development and future achievement. Commitment to Children I believe in consistency and continuity of care. Teachers must be: Responsive to children’s needs. Reflective in their actions. Focused on trust and respect. By building strong bonds, teachers and families create a foundation of communication, collaboration, and partnership

Professional Philosophy. Every child should be supported as a whole child, with their family structure and culture respected. A loving, caring, and safe home-like environment helps children, families, and educators feel secure, respected, and valued. Families are partners in education, not spectators, and should be treated as strong and capable team members. My Approach Create a space where partnerships and friendships are formed, with open, judgment-free communication. Encourage families to contribute to their child’s learning through active involvement and input. Adapt communication styles to meet the unique needs of each family. Teaching Philosophy Every day requires new approaches — what worked yesterday may not work today. Focus on consistent routines and predictable patterns to support brain development. Provide developmentally appropriate toys and activities that challenge and nurture infants and toddlers. Commitment to Growth Support children’s emotional and social development through warm, caring, and responsive interactions. Recognize that positive early relationships lead to long-term healthy outcomes in self-esteem, social skills, and mental growth. Stay up-to-date with the latest education, safety practices, and professional development. Closing Belief As a caregiver with over 15 years of experience, I believe every child deserves the best we have to give. I am committed to guiding children and supporting families in a safe, respectful, and educational environment where everyone feels valued.
